The Pooka has come
Having failed to come on Hallowe'en, the Pooka has come with the Full Moon (the real feast of Samhain); en-bared the trees, befouled the blackberries and sweetened the Rowan Berries (an ancient saucy berry before we ever heard of cranberries, or, indeed, turkey. Enjoy them with your pigeon. If picked before Samhain, sweeten by placing for half an hour in the freezer). Along the bank of the Royal Canal today.
